Akira Yuki (結城 晶, Yūki Akira) is a Kung Fu teacher, winner of the Second World Fighting Tournament and the mascot of Sega's Virtua Fighter series.

NiGHTS Archie Comics[]
Akira makes a small cameo in the NiGHTS Archie Comics. In the third issue, there is an Akira Yuki poster on Elliot's bedroom wall, along with a Sonic the Hedgehog and a Knuckles the Echidna poster.
Scrapped Cameo[]
The scoreboard shown after each level of NiGHTS into Dreams has any empty slots filled with the names of characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. By hacking the game files, it's possible to find an unused score board using names from the Virtua Fighter series instead, including Akira's name. [1]

- Akira is one of the four non-NiGHTS characters to make a cameo in NiGHTS related media, the other three being Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna and Doctor Eggman from the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
