Deworms are caterpillar-like third level Nightmarens and enemies in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.

Character Information

Physical Appearance

Deworms are blue caterpillars with a cyan stripe on their heads and giant blue antennas with an orange top. On their back, they have green spike on the top and an orange bottom with tiny geen feet.

Personality

Like most of the third level Nightmarens, Deworms are agressive and act like vicious animals. Also, when they see Nightopians, Deworms won't stop chasing them until they eat them.

Like most of the Nightmarens, Deworms are shown to be capable of flying.

Portals Creation

Deworms can spread yellow portals through the level. If NiGHTS passes through the portals, they will get trapped in a giant blubble with reversed colors.

History

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

Deworms can only be found in Memory Forest. When they see NiGHTS, they will spread yellow portals through the level. If NiGHTS passes through the portals, they will get trapped in a giant blubble with reversed colors. To leave the bubble and revert things back to normal, NiGHTS shall either pass through another portal or wait as the effect will revert itself after a while and the bubble will disappear.

In Memory Forest's second mission, the Deworms will try to attack Helen as she tries to find NiGHTS. Helen can protect herself from the Deworms by tossing Blue Chips at them.

Defeating a Deworm will add 100 points for the player's score.

Mepian

Deworm Mepian.

The Deworm Mepians have a cone-shaped blue head with a yellow top, a green stripe, big Deworm eyes and a regular Nightopian halo. Their torso is blue on the top, purple on the bottom, and there's a yellow stripe followed by a cyan stripe in the middle. Their arms are blue and instead of hands, they have green claws. They also have orange wings.

"This hypnotic caterpillar will knock five seconds off your clock if it hits you, but that's not its only attack. It can also draw a circular hole in space that seals you in an alternate dimension if you fall into it. If you get caught in one of these holes look for another one in the alternate dimension and go through it to escape."
