Dream Language is a ficctional language spoken by the Night Dimension residents which Sonic Team made up for NiGHTS into Dreams. According to the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website, NiGHTS, Reala, Wizeman, Jackle and Puffy all have lines in Dream Language.[1][2]
Known Quotes[]
The NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website lists the following five quotes:[1][2]
"Beadichinoa NiGHTS!"[]
Before the Reala's boss battle, a cutscene plays where it zooms into Reala sitting on his throne, he stands up, pointing at NiGHTS and says "Beadichinoa NiGHTS!" (ベアディッチノア、ナイツ！). According to the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website, this line means "Come on NiGHTS!" in dream language.[3][2]
"Adeema"[]
During gameplay, when the time runs out and NiGHTS unfuses with either Elliot or Claris, they say "Adeema" (アディーマ！). According to the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website, this line means "Good-bye" in dream language.[3][2]
"Ouuah, dumaruzia!"[]
When Wizeman is attacked by NiGHTS during his boss battle, he sometimes says "Ouuah, dumaruzia!" (オウアッ、デュマルゾィア！). According to the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website, this line means "Oooh, still more!" or "Oooh, there still more!" in dream language.[3][2]
"Tsupekku!"[]
It is stated in the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website that there is an audio file of Jackle saying "Tsupekku!" (ツペック！), which means "Damn it!" in dream language.[2] However, he never says that in the game.

"Momyurutohorudekerute~"[]
It is stated in the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website that there is an audio file of Puffy saying "Momyurutohorudekerute~" (モーミョルトホルデケルテ～), which means "I'll hug you with my body~" or "I'll embrace you closely with my body~" in dream language.[3][2] However, she never says that in the game. The audio file can still be found in the game's files though.

The NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website only lists the five quotes seen above. However, there are other audio files of Reala, Wizeman, Jackle and Puffy speaking in Dream Language. They are the followings:
Reala's last words[]
When Reala is defeated, he says the following line. It is currently unknown what he is saying. However, it appears that the first word is "NiGHTS".
Wizeman's last words[]
When Wizeman is defeated, he says the following line. It is currently unknown what he is saying. However, it sounds like he is saying "No... NiGHTS...".
Unused Jackle audio file[]
In the game's sound test, there is an audio file of Jackle saying the following line. It is currently unknown what he is saying. However, it appears that the last word is "NiGHTS".
Jackle's last words[]
When Jackle is defeated, he says the following line. It is currently unknown what he is saying.
Puffy's unused pre-battle dialogue[]
In the Beta version of the game, Puffy had the following pre-battle dialogue.[4] This audio file is still available to be heard in the game's sound test. It is currently unknown what she is saying.
Puffy being attacked[]
Sometimes, when Puffy is thrown, she says the following line. It is currently unknown what she is saying.
Unused "Sooora" audio file[]
In the game files, there is an unused audio file of an unknown male character saying something that sounds like "soooora".[5][6] It is currently unknown what the character is actually saying and who the character is.
Trivia[]
- Reala's pre-battle dialogue is often misunderstood by new players, who think Reala says "There is no NiGHTS!".
- During Puffy's battle theme, it is possible to hear someone singing an opera song in the background. It is not clear if this is Dream Language or not.
- Similarly, a quiet whispering can be heard in Jackle's battle theme, and it is unclear if the whispering is saying something in Dream Language or not.
- In the Nightmare Zone DLC from Sonic Lost World, Puffy says "Momyurutohorudekerute~" when she is defeated.[7]
- Reala would later say "Beadichinoa NiGHTS!" again in the Nintendo DS version of Sega Superstars Tennis.
- In an interview, Yuji Naka revealed that Takashi Iizuka was the one who came up with the words.[8]
- According to Yuji Naka, the word "Adeema" is a play on the word "abayo", which is a Japanese slang for "good-bye".[8]
