Elliot's Mother is an unseen minor character in NiGHTS into Dreams, who is an influence for how some of her son levels are shaped.

Elliot's Mother never appears in the game, nor is she ever mentioned. However, the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website does confirms that she exists and that some of Elliot's levels are connected to her.
In the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese Website, there is a section describing all of the music tracks in the game. In the description of Splash Garden's theme, The Amazing Water, it is stated that Splash Garden represents motherhood, thus, the level is somehow connected to Elliot's Mother.[1]
What is more interesting, is that in the description of Puffy's boss battle theme, She Had Long Ears, it is stated that Puffy is the representation of Elliot's mother image.[1]
Additionatly, there is also a section in the website describing Nightopia. In this section, it is stated the sea in Nightopia represents the conversion of the presence of the mother. [2]The Website also has a section describing the Nightmare World, and in this section, it is stated that Nightmare creates a world with a raging stormy sea for a person who has an oversized presence of their mother.[3] Although there is no mention of Elliot's Mother, it is safe to assume that these quotes are refering to her and the sea referred in the website is the one seen in Splash Garden. With that in mind, it can be assumed that Elliot's mother is very present in Elliot's life.
Archie Comics[]

Elliot's Mother makes a small appearance in the second issue of the NiGHTS Archie Comics series, where she gives her son a permition slip, so Elliot can go on a field trip to Twin Seeds museum.
It should be noted though, that the Archie Comics are a different canon and that Elliot's Mother may look different in the game's series.

- Elliot's Mother is one of the three characters who are mentioned in the NiGHTS into Dreams Japanese website but never appear in the game. The other two are Claris's Father and the Twin Seeds's Creator.
