An Updraft is a gust of wind blowing out of something in NiGHTS into Dreams, it only appears in Spring Valley, in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams it appears far more frequently through most of the levels and even at the Dream Gate. If NiGHTS flies over it, the updraft will hold him aloft if he lets it. Updrafts can be neutralized using the Dragon Persona. Updrafts will also carry Will or Helen upwards, but will severely limit their movement. One of the Dream Drops in the Dream Gate can only be obtained by utilizing an updraft flowing from a cavern that will be to your right immediately after entering the entrance gate.
